Dr. Whitney G. Blankenship

Dr. Blankenship completed her Ph.D. at the University of Texas in Austin in December of 2010. After graduation she continued to teach International Baccalaureate  History of the Americas and Psychology through the end of the spring 2011 semester prior to accepting a clinical assistant professorship at U.T. Austin. During her time at U.T., Dr. Blankenship taught Advanced Secondary Social Studies Methods and the Student Teaching Seminar, as well as masters and doctoral level classes in Technology Integration in the Social Studies and High-Stakes Testing.

In the  spring of 2012 Dr. Blankenship was offered a joint appointment at  Rhode Island College where she teaches Secondary Social Studies Methods, Student Teaching Seminar, First Year Seminar (History), and Multiple Perspectives: The U.S. and the World. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Blankenship acts as the Coordinator for History Secondary Education and she is the faculty sponsor for the Epsilon Rho Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi.
